Imtihan AI ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Account data: name, email, password (stored hashed), class level, and board.
- Usage data: question papers you generate, attempts you submit, scores, and time taken.
- Payment data: when you subscribe to a paid plan, payments are processed by Razorpay. We never store your card or UPI details.
2. How we use your data
- To deliver the core service — generate papers, score attempts, and show progress.
- To send transactional emails (account, billing, password resets).
- To improve question quality and product features in aggregate.
3. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers required to run Imtihan AI — currently our database host (MongoDB), AI provider (OpenAI via Emergent), email delivery, and payment processor (Razorpay).
4. Children & parental consent
Imtihan AI is intended for students in classes 4–12. If you are under 18, please use the platform with a parent or guardian's consent. Parents may contact us anytime to review or delete a minor's data.
5. Data retention
Account and exam data are retained for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion anytime by emailing hello@imtihan.ai. Deletion is processed within 7 business days.
6. Security
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Authentication uses signed JWTs. All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). No system is 100% secure — please use a strong, unique password.
7. Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, correct it, or delete it at any time by emailing us.
